From Arapesh to Zuni: A Book of Bibleless Peoples is an excellent way to introduce your child to people groups around the world. These 26 tribes all share one thing in common; they do not have the Bible in their own language. Each week we will pray for one people group. I am not going to go in order because some of the groups are located in cold climates, and I want to do those groups during wintertime. Each post will include activities, videos, and pictures. I am adding these extras because I want my children’s prayers to be personable, not generic. Also I desire them to understand the beauty and reality of these 26 cultures.
We emailed Wycliffe to see what work had been accomplished since the publication of this book. They emailed back the same day but at top of their attachment it said “not for web publicity.” If your family is interested in knowing updates it was easy enough to go to www.wycliffe.com and request this information.
In the back of the book is a map of the world and the location of each group marked. If you would like your children to make a similar map I have provided a link to a printable world map. I chose World Map 3 to give my kids a different perspective than what is typical of western cartography.
