kitty's birthday

I like how we sew in response to a need.  This time is was Kitty's birthday.  We needed a cake.  The idea and template for this project came from Super Cute Felt, a hand sewing book I received for a Christmas present.  Although the apple cake was originally created to be a pin cushion, it worked well for Kitty's special day.   

Hana and Elia are my sewers.  Elia is creative, but Hana is steadfast and precise.  I imagine after years of sewing they will weave together their strengths.  That is the beauty of companionship.  That is the beauty of sisters who are ever fixed friends.
